Accepted Guidelines - Guidelines for use of copyright material that have been created, approved, or accepted by MLA, or ALA

Other Guidelines - Guidelines in general use.  However, the Music Library Association has not been a participant or signatory to these; and many music libraries have difficulty with these two guidelines because portion restrictions inhibit teaching of musical form and analysis.  For a cogent discussion of the issue see the first few paragraphs of the Digital Reserves Guideline.
