SOFTWARE LOCATION TOOLS
The publishing field for video and other media format software is not as well organized as print publishing is.  Sometimes, you really have to hunt to track down an elusive title, or the current publisher of a title that has changed vendor, or simply “what’s out there?” in a given subject area.

Here are a few of the major established tools for locating information about media programming:

This reference tool is the equivalent of Books in Print for video.

leading film distributors' complete collections --
Bullfrog, Fanlight, First Run/Icarus and New Day Films..

The reviews are written by librarians and teaching faculty in institutions across the United States and Canada.

NICEM – Producer and Distributor Web Sites

Public Affairs Video Archives
