Find books, videos, government documents, e-books, streaming media, and more.

When searching in article databases, use the 
icon to access to the article online or find out if JMU owns it in print or microform (if we own it in print or microform, you can request an electronic copy of the article through the Interlibrary Loan office).
Google Scholar searches the Internet for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Google Scholar won't give you comprehensive search results (it won't find everything on a topic) but it is a way to start your research.
CheckCite provides examples of citations from multiple style guides to help you format your citations.
RefWorks is citation management software that allows you to save your bibliography on a remote computer; it also helps you format the citations in your paper. Link to Refworks from the library home page or go to www.refworks.com.
