Proxy Configuration for Internet Explorer 8.x

Step 1: On the IE menu bar, click 'Tools', then 'Internet Options.'

Step 2: In the "Internet Options" window, click the "Connections" tab at the top. Then click the "LAN Settings" button near the lower right corner.

Step 3: In the 'LAN Settings' window, click the checkbox beside 'Use automatic configuration script', then click in the 'Address' textbox and type (or paste) the URL, http://www.lib.jmu.edu/proxy/jmuproxy.pac

Step 4: Click the "OK" button in the 'LAN Settings' window.

Step 5: Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the 'Internet Options' window.

Step 6: Close the Internet Explorer window and restart Internet Explorer.
