PLANTS National Database Searchable database for vascular and non-vascular plants of the United States. Includes names, identification, distributional data, growth data, references, and images.	Families of Flowering Plants Extensive descriptions of flowering plants grouped by family, including leaf form, stem anatomy, pollination, seed morphology, cytology, and taxonomy. Flowering Plant Gateway (Texas A&M University) Presents information on four systems of flowering plant classification. Flora of North America (Also available in print: Ref QK110 .55 1993 - Carrier Library) Presents up-to-date information on plants native and naturalized found in North America north of Mexico. Flora of the Washington-Baltimore Area Searchable data of vascular plants, including mountain, Piedmont, and coastal plain habitats. Flora of Virginia Ongoing project to publish a manual of Virginia's 3700+ native and naturalized plant taxa. Contributors include Jennifer Clevinger, Conley McMullen, and Michael Renfroe from the JMU Biology Dept. The Index Nominum Genericorum (ING) Compilation of generic names published for all organisms covered by the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature. The International Plant Names Index "A database of the names and associated basic bibliographical details of all seed plants." The data is derived from 3 sources: Index Kewensis (IK), the Gray Card index (GCI), and the Australian Plant Names Index (APNI).

Arabidopsis Information Resource (TAIR) Major resource for research on Arabidopsis thaliana, a widely used model plant. Includes sections on tools and data as well as the Arabidopsis Genome Initiative and the Arabidopsis thaliana Database (AtDB). Plant Genomic & Data Information Center (US National Agriculture Library) Links of information services and publications covering many aspects of plant genome mapping. Includes a tutorial on searching databases for plant genome information. The TIGR Arabidopsis thaliana Database (Institute of Genomic Research) Reports the analysis of the genomic sequence of Arabidopsis. Searchable by gene name, clone, and locus. Includes RNA gene table and sequencing group charts.
