Biology Style Manuals

Style manuals offer the standard practice for citing references in research papers. Journal articles, books, and other sources must be cited and included in the bibliography. The Council of Biology Editors has established guidelines for citing sources for the life sciences. The following resources offer explanations and examples for citing works in bibliographies and also to prepare grants, lab reports, and poster presentations.
