East Campus Library Collections and Services
The East Campus Library collection includes circulating books (LC Call number ranges Q, R, S, and T), reference materials (including all items previously housed in the CISAT library), a browsing book collection, and media. Though a majority of our journal holdings are electronic, some print journals supporting research in science, technology and other departments on East Campus are located in the ECL.
In addition to having library materials delivered to a nearby library, faculty will be able to request materials (books, journals articles, media, and copies of microfilm/fiche/form) from any JMU library to be delivered to their departmental mailbox. Read more about this article and book delivery service.
Faculty may place high demand or specialized materials on reserve pending copyright clearance. Reserve materials may include library owned articles, books, videotapes, CD's, audiocassettes and personal copies of material. Materials can be put on reserve, in either print or electronic format, at any of our library locations. More information about this service.
Liaison librarians are in place at the ECL and ready to assist patrons with all of their information needs. Looking for the contact information of your librarian? Find it here.
The Learning Commons is a philosophy of reference and information service. East Campus Library's Information Commons provides a user-centered learning space where students can interact with peers and experts to solve their research problems in a technology-rich environment.
