Carrier
Library Supports EARTH On March 26, student representatives from the campus environmental awareness group, EARTH, recognized Carrier Library for its use of 100% post-consumer chlorine-free recycled paper at library printers and copiers.
Library and Educational Technology Dean, Ralph Alberico addressed the Earth group and library faculty, and thanked EARTH, Lynn Cameron and Claudette Lee for their efforts in getting the paper approved for state purchase.
EARTH representative, Gina Moore commended the library on helping to promote environmentally-friendly policies on the JMU campus. Ralph also commended the students on helping to make the successful transition from free to pay-for-print work so smoothly. With the implementation on the pay-for-print system, the library has significantly reduced the amount of paper wasted annually.
