V.                Searching for Books.

               LEO

LEO is the online catalog for JMU's holdings. There are many ways to search for World War II titles. The following are examples using Library of Congress Subject Headings, which can be used for most academic libraries in the U.S.   An excellent way to start is to perform a word search. After finding appropriate titles note the subject headings and use them for subsequent searches.

To locate primary sources, use the keywords, "sources," "correspondence," "diaries," "memoir," or "personal narrative" along with the subject keywords.  For example, a search on "Churchill and correspondence" will return records describing books that contain Churchill's letters.
