During the workshop each faculty member/liaison librarian pair will design a course-related assignment that incorporates information-seeking and evaluation skills.

Deadline for Application:  Feb. 27, 2006
Stipend:  $1,000

]]> Mon, 13 Feb 2006 14:44:00 GMT id214typeNEWS ebrary Online Book Collection JMU students, faculty and staff now have access to more than 11,000 online books in the humanities and social sciences through a subscription resource called ebrary.  The titles are mostly recent, with the majority of them published after 2000.   Cambridge University Press, Greenwood, John Benjamins, Knopf, University of California Press, Routledge, Palgrave MacMillan, and Sage are among the many publishers.

ebrary includes many features which makes using these books online ideal.  Click on any word to link to definitions, biographies, or geographical information.  Create a personal bookshelf of titles, and insert bookmarks, notes, and highlighting in your selections.

When you use ebrary for the first time, you will be prompted to download a small plugin for your browser.

Visit ebrary directly to search and browse the collection.  In addition, all of our ebrary titles will soon be included in LEO Library Catalog so you can find them alongside other titles in our collection.
