Media Resources Mission
Media Resources is a central instructional resource of Libraries and Educational Technologies, available to the entire JMU community. Other units of L&ET are: Carrier Library, CISAT Library, Music Library, Center for Instructional Technology, and Distributed and Distance Learning Systems.
Our goals are to:
Support faculty, students and staff in the use of commercially available media that meet their academic course and other instructional needs.
Provide faculty, students and staff with technology in the classroom that meets teaching needs and enhances the learning experience.
Our media center in Carrier Library houses our collections of commercial media (videotape, DVD, CD-ROM, etc.) that can be used in the center, in classrooms and in other locations.
Our technical support staff located in Carrier Library and Spotswood Hall offer instructional technology services related to campus classrooms, library facilities and special teaching labs. We work with Computing Support and other Information Technology units to provide these services.
