PROGRAM GUIDES ( TV / SATELLITE )

Web resources for checking program schedules: In addition to various TV guides that are in print, a number of web services provide program schedules for a wide range of broadcast, cable and satellite stations.

TV Guide Entertainment Network
Online counterpart to the print TV Guide, containing the most comprehensive U.S. program listings available. Does not cover local station programming. Also offers a variety of features covering all entertainment media. .

Discovery Online
This site provides program listings for The Discovery and The Learning Channels. (JMU currently receives The Discovery Channel only.) Some of these channels' programming can be retained on tape by educators for various periods of time--usually from one to three years. To find out in advance what programming can be taped and kept, request a free print subscription to The Discovery Networks' Educator Guide at 1-800-321-1832.
