Media Center Technology Classroom - Library basement 16A
The Media Center in Carrier Library basement has a tech classroom(16A) that holds approximately 30-34 people maximum. This room is furnished for playback of video sources (cassettes, DVDs and laserdiscs), as well as computer projection. It can also receive stations from the campus cable system.
Priority use of the viewing room:
- Top priority is for use by classes or other formal meetings requiring media use. Faculty and staff can schedule this room in advance by contacting Media Resources staff. Student desk assistants are not authorized to schedule room 16A.
- Second priority is for use by students practicing PowerPoint presentation skills for their classes. The viewing room can be used at the time of need, if it is not occupied by a class. It cannot be scheduled in advance for this purpose. To check on likely availability beforehand the same day, call the media center desk assistant at 568-6802.
- Third priority is for viewing use by informal study groups. The viewing room can be used at the time of need, if it is not occupied by a class or by PowerPoint users. It cannot be scheduled in advance for this purpose. To check on likely availability beforehand the same day, call the media circulation desk assistant at 568-6802.
Procedures:
- Users should ask the desk assistant to unlock the classroom for use.
- You will be asked to leave an ID card at the media desk while you use the classroom.
- Notify the desk assistant when finished using the room.
