The Music Library is located on the lower level of the Music Building on the main campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. One of JMU's three libraries, the Music Library boasts state of the art technology and extensive collections of diverse materials.
The Music Library's collection supports the School of Music's curriculum in performance, composition, music theory, and music industry, and strives to meet the musical needs of the James Madison University and the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County communities. The Music Library houses collections containing more than 80,000 reference sources, scores, serials, sound recordings, videos, and software titles. Additionally, users have access to overa a million tracks of online audio, video and musical scores. Books and some other material are housed at Carrier Library.
The Music Library's media and Computer Labs offer users significant computing and media resources to support learning and research in a music world that has become highly technological.
