The Music Library not only has dozens of recordings to help you get into the holiday spirit, but also many books...  
Christmas... Where else can you find Christmas music ranging from "A Medieval Hungarian Christmas", CD 1690, to "Bing Crosby sing Christmas Carols", CD 1414, as well as "Christmas with the Cambridge Singers", CD 1635, "Carols from the Old and New Worlds", CD 1683, "Christmas bells, mallets, and drums", CD 1118,  "The Messiah", CD 1825, and many more.  View a list of all Christmas recordings (or CDs only) owned by the Music Library.
Don't stop at listening to music... the libraries have hundreds of interesting books that explore all aspects of the Christmas tradition.  You can find out "All About Christmas", GT4985 .K68, and "Celebrating Christmas Around the World", GT4985 .K68, or learn about "Christmas lighting and decorating", GT4985 .S25, and don't forget Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol", PR4572 .C68 1956.  Christmas is always a favorite time for children, so be sure to pick up some selections from the juvenile department such as "Happy Christmas; tales for boys and girls", 394.2 B622h, "A Charlie Brown Christmas", 741.5 S388ch 1977, and of course "The Night Before Christmas", 811 M821nt 1975.  You can view a list of all Christmas books, or Christmas books for children.
Chanukah... You can hear some Chanukah favorites on "The art of the Cantor", CD 2097 including "Mo'os Tzur and Blessings for Chanukah", "Vli Yerusholayim Ircho", "M'Kimi Meofor" and "Havdolah".  Be sure to visit Carrier library and the juvenile department for Chanukah books like, "Purim and Hanukkah, in custom and tradition", BM695.P8 G3, "Hershel and the Hanukkah goblins", K459h, "A picture book of Hanukkah", 296.4 A237p, and "The power of light : eight stories for Hanukkah", SC S617p. View all Chanukah books.
Kwanzaa... hear sounds from this holiday on CD 2524, "Kwanzaa Music".  Selections include "Madina" with Tabu Ley Rochereau and the Orchestra African Fiesta, "Get on the good foot, part one" by James Brown, "Coconut milk" by Bo Dollis and the Wild Magnolias, "Spirit in the dark" by Aretha Franklin, and more.  You can learn more about this relatively new holiday through these books; "The complete Kwanzaa : celebrating our cultural harvest", GT4403 .R56 1995, "Kwanzaa : an African-American holiday that is progressive", GT4403 .M32 1972, and for children "K is for Kwanzaa", 394.261 F699k.
