East Campus Library Collections and Services

Collections

The East Campus Library collection will include circulating books (Call number ranges Q, R, S, and T), reference materials (including all items currently housed in the CISAT library), a browsing book collection, and media. Though a majority of our journal holdings are electronic, some print journals supporting research in science, technology and other departments on East Campus will be located in the ECL. Book and journals collections heading to the ECL will be moved the week of June 16th. Materials housed in the ECL are still available for retrieval over the summer via the library delivery service.

Library Delivery

Beginning in the Fall, in addition to having library materials delivered to a nearby library, faculty will be able to request materials (books, journals articles, media, and copies of microfilm/fiche/form) from any JMU library to be delivered to their departmental mailbox. Read more about this article and book delivery service.

Course Reserves

Faculty may place high demand or specialized materials on reserve pending copyright clearance. Reserve materials may include library owned articles, books, videotapes, CD's, audiocassettes and personal copies of material. Materials can be put on reserve, in either print or electronic format, at any of our library locations. More information about this service.

Liaisons

All librarians currently working out of the CISAT library will move into the ECL on May 19. New librarian positions are currently under recruitment as well. Looking for the contact information of your librarian? Find it here.
