About the Library
The preparations for opening the East Campus Library (ECL) are proceeding on schedule and the building will be open to the public in August 2008. Building construction is substantially complete, book stack installation begins next week, grounds are ready for landscaping, furniture delivery begins at the end of the month, and a variety of staff are being recruited. The building offers spaces for students and faculty alike to work, learn, and collaborate while doubling library study seats on
campus.
In addition to library services, the East Campus Library will house a second location of the Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) and will be the home of the Center for Faculty Innovation (CFI). Both faculty centers will reside on the 5th floor of the building..
