Proxy Configuration for Netscape Navigator 6.x

Step 1: On the Navigator menu bar, click 'Edit', then 'Preferences':

Step 2: In the 'Preferences' window, click the '+' sign to the left of the word 'Advanced' in the left-hand column.  Then click the word 'Proxies':

Step 3: In the main portion of the window, click the radio button beside 'Automatic proxy configuration URL'

Step 4: Click in the text box that follows and type (or paste) the URL http://www.lib.jmu.edu/proxy/jmuproxy.pac

Step 5: Click the 'Reload' button after the text box, then click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the window.

Using your browser once Automatic Configuration is activated
