Print reference books
Go to both Carrier Library and Rose Library and browse through the Reference section for QH-QL. You will find books like this:
Handbook of Birds of the World - Rose Library QL673 .H265 1992
Find circulating books in LEO and request Library Delivery to have books delivered to a different library on campus.
The psychology book collection is split between Carrier and Rose Libraries. Biology books are all in Rose Library.

For books on animal behavior, try doing a Subject Search and look for the subheading Encyclopedias.
Example: Birds -- Encyclopedias
Or... try a keyword search for your animal or bird. If there are no books on that specific animal, try the family or an even broader category.

Seabirds
Birds
Search the following databases for peer reviewed scholarly articles on your animal. Try both the common name and the scientific name.
Advanced Google - limit to gov domain to retrieve high quality government publications that are online.
