An encyclopedia of covering art and artists worldwide. It is a "comprehensive art reference work covering all forms of the visual arts: painting, sculpture, architecture, graphic and decorative arts, and photography, from prehistory to the 1990s." It represents the work of more than 6,800 scholars from around the world. Provides various searching capabilities including a search index and an artist browse option. 

This database contains Grove Art Online, The Dictionary of Art, edited by Jane Turner (1996, 34 vols) and The Oxford Companion to Western Art, edited by Hugh Brigstocke (2001), The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms (M. Clarke & D. Clarke).
