Description:
Contains records of nearly 35,000 trans-Atlantic slaving voyages made between 1514 and 1866. Users may retrieve documentaion for a specific voyage, or data by time period and geographic region.  Includes interactive maps that allow viewers to chart the trans-Atlantic connections. Also included are interpretive essays, a database of African names, images and facsimiles of slave registers.
