Cross-search primary source materials related to colonial America and the early Republic: the papers of James Madison, Dolley Madison, George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson, as well as a Documentary History of the Ratification of the Constitution. The Founding Era platform allows users to access the full text of three online collections licensed by JMU (the Dolley Madison Papers, James Madison Papers, and George Washington Papers). In addition, users are able to search keywords online and look up the pertinent citations in series owned by JMU in print editions.
