Bio/Historical Note:
Mabel Hancock Holt was born December 13, 1923 in Martinsville, Virginia. She attended Madison College from 1942-1946, where she was senior class president of the Student Government Association and a member of the Cotillion Club. She died September 25, 2017.

Scope and Content:
This collection is comprised of papers belonging to 1946 Madison College alum, Mabel Hancock Holt. It contains a 1945 Western Union telegram, issues of “The Breeze” dated October 12, and October 19, 1945, a 1946 commencement invitation, and photocopies from the “Schoolma'am” (undated). It also includes a booklet, “Class of 1946 Madison Memories,” printed in 2006 for an alumni reunion.
