Spring 2010 Internships

Special Collections

Special Collections is now accepting applications for internships for the Spring 2010 semester.  The following internships are available:

Manuscripts Processing Internship:  The intern will begin processing the Wampler Family Business Records, which consist of approximately twelve linear feet of records.  The internship will include preliminary research, arranging, describing and drafting a finding aid for the collection. Familiarity with the poultry industry in Rockingham County is helpful, but not required.

Oral History Transcription Internship:  The intern will transcribe and/or edit oral history interviews for the Shenandoah National Park Oral History Collection, SC# 4030 (SdArch SNP) and/or the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Immigrant Oral History Collection.  Strong writing and editing skills are encouraged.
