Responsibilities:
* Provides strategic and visionary leadership for Libraries & Educational Technologies’ (LET) Scholarly Resources & Discovery. Monitors and makes effective use of all resources under purview. Develops and implements processes, workflows, and policies which improve the user’s access to information resources, collaborating with other LET units as appropriate.

* Effectively manages and supervises staff and faculty in Scholarly Resources & Discovery, including Resource Access, Digital Collections, and Special Collections.

*Serves as contract administrator for LET’s resource and software licenses and contracts. Directs activities and projects related to the licensing, procurement, material flow, and access of the LET’s resources and academic software. Ensures that both the library and vendor adheres to the terms of the contract, taking corrective action as needed. Negotiates best pricing and price caps where applicable. Acts as resource for licensing questions within LET, the University, and across the state.

* Investigates and implements new technologies, services, procedures, policies, and workflows in collaboration with LET partners.

* Collaborates with other members of LET to direct the organization’s response to the changing scholarly communication paradigm. Monitor current developments in scholarly communication, open access, and related initiatives.

* As a member of LET Leadership, participates in the overall planning and management of LET, in alignment with our mission, vision, values, and aspirational culture.
