Classroom Technology Services
We enhance the teaching and learning experience for faculty and students in in-person and hybrid environments via management of appropriate educational technologies. We design, install, support, and maintain reliable technology-rich teaching environments on campus. We coordinate with JMU Facilities Management and others to plan for audio/visual technologies for new or renovated JMU academic buildings.
CTS staff are available on campus Mondays through Fridays, between 7:30am and 5pm. Various on-campus classrooms have cameras and microphones to facilitate hybrid teaching (see our online teaching guide).
Visit the Classroom Technology page to learn about the equipment installed in each classroom. It includes classroom listings by building, as well as equipment installed per room. You’ll also find links to equipment tutorials and help documents.
Please call (540) 568-6799 or email tchelp@jmu.edu for classroom technology requests, questions, or issues.

Clickers for Faculty
Turning Technology Clickers can be used in your classroom to poll your students and actively engage them in the material you are teaching. Clickers are small, handheld devices that allow students to respond to questions asked verbally, on paper, or on screen. You can instantly assess a summary of their responses. Select one of these links to begin using clickers:
