TechSmith Relay-Legacy

What is TechSmith Relay?

Relay (formerly Camtasia Relay) is a presentation tool designed to streamline the sharing process, especially directed at educators on all levels of education. The recorder used in Relay allows anyone to create content from anywhere, and the server produces and publishes videos in several formats to a desired location. Relay is installed on every PC in the Tech Classrooms.

How can I gain access to TechSmith Relay?

Once you have access to illumira, a Relay account will be created for you if you do not already have one. If you already have a Relay account, after receiving illumira upload access you will be able to choose illumira as your upload location.

How Do I Use TechSmith Relay?

  • Download the TechSmith Relay Recorder and install it. Please note, you must request illumira upload access before being able to download the recorder.
  • Record your presentation.
  • Trim as necessary.
  • Choose your upload profile to a desired location such as YouTube or JMU’s new video hosting service, illumira.
  • Submit!
