Harmony Nicole Wilson

Graduate Assistant

About me

My name is Harmony Wilson, and I am excited to work as the new GA for EdTech Services this school year! I am from the Harrisonburg area and have lived in the city for nearly 14 years. I received my B.A. in Communication Studies from JMU in 2021 and am pursuing my M.S.Ed. in Adult Education/Human Resource Development. My professional background is in elementary education as an ELL instructor, and I also serve as the undergraduate advisor for the Lambda Iota chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. A focal passion of mine is advancing DEI education and practices in academia. In the next few years, I plan to pursue my Ph.D. in education and continue instruction at the graduate level. In my free time, I enjoy writing, listening to music, spending time with my sisters, practicing Spanish, and lounging around local coffee shops.
