How Do I Reach JMU Libraries by Bus?

All our locations are easily accessible by bus!

Rose Library is a short walk from the Festival bus stop on the following bus routes: Blue, Black, Pink, Purple, Gold, and Silver. The Inner Campus Shuttle (ICS) has a stop right in front of Rose Library.
JMU Libraries Express is a short walk from bus stops for Route 4, the Yellow Line, the Green Line and the ICS.
The Music Library in the basement of the Music Building is located on the Quad, easily accessible from the Green Line, Yellow Line, Route 3, or ICS bus stops on Grace Street (in front of Duke Hall) and Bluestone Drive (in front of Wampler Hall).
The ETMC is located in Memorial Hall, which has its own ICS stop, and Route 3 stops one block away. All color routes and many numbered routes share bus stops with the ICS, so transferring is easy, if necessary.

If you need to drive, getting a Day Permit to Park at JMU is easy!

Visitors who are not JMU students or employees can obtain a free visitor parking permit. Contact JMU Parking and Transit Services at 540-568-3300 for more information.
JMU faculty, staff, and students can purchase a day permit online for $5, which allows them to park in any lot where their regular permit type is normally valid.
Special event parking: Check the event page to see if free parking has been reserved in a designated lot.
15-minute parking: If you are just picking up, dropping off, printing, or scanning items, you can use one of the four 15-minute parking spaces next to JMU Libraries Express (1050 S. Main Street) without a parking permit.
