The Makery
The Makery in Rose is closed through August 2, 2026 as we work to open a second makerspace in Carrier on August 3.

Whether you’re working on an academic project or a DIY project, The Makery is here to foster your creativity. Our services and supplies are available free-of-charge to the entire JMU community, offering high-end equipment and a knowledgeable team ready to help you create, craft, and discover.
Mandatory Orientation
To ensure a safe and productive environment for everyone, all users are required to complete a brief, one-time mandatory orientation before using the space. This quick orientation covers essential safety guidelines and principles, helping you feel confident as you start your first project. Complete the orientation online before visiting for a seamless visit. Training for equipment and tools is also available.
