Everyone is welcome to visit the JMU Libraries and access many of our collections, spaces, and services while in our library locations. The Libraries strives to create equitable, accessible, and welcoming library spaces that support the diverse learning and research needs of our users.
Reaching JMU Libraries by Bus
All our library locations are easily accessible by bus! Use the MyStop app to see real-time bus information (desktop website, mobile website, Android app, Apple app).
- Carrier Library is nearest to the Grace St. @ Student Success Center bus stop, accessible from Green Line, Inner Campus Shuttle (ICS), Route 3, Summer Gold, and Sunday Shopper.
- Rose Library is nearest to the Carrier Drive @ Festival bus stop, accessible from Black, Blue, Gold, Pink, and Purple lines; Inner Campus Shuttle (ICS); Shopper; and Summer Silver.
- The Music Library is in the basement of the Music Building and nearest to the Grace Street @ Holland Yates Hall and Bluestone Dr. @ Wampler Hall bus stops.
- The Grace Street @ Holland Yates Hall bus stop is accessible from Green Line, Inner Campus Shuttle (ICS), Route 3, Summer Gold, and Sunday Shopper.
- The Bluestone Dr. @ Wampler Hall bus stop is accessible from Green Line, Yellow Line, Inner Campus Shuttle (ICS), Route 3, Route 6, Summer Gold, and Sunday Shopper.
- The Education Technology and Media Center (ETMC) is located in Memorial Hall and nearest to the Memorial Hall and South High St. @ Memorial Hall bus stops.
- The Memorial Hall bus stop is accessible from Inner Campus Shuttle (ICS) and Summer Gold.
- The South High St. @ Memorial Hall bus stop is accessible from Route 3 (and very close to the similarly named Memorial Hall stop).

Accessible Public Transportation
Accessible public transportation to all library locations is available via Harrisonburg Department of Transportation’s (HDPT) Paratransit service. HDPT Paratransit is a wheelchair accessible service for JMU students, faculty, and staff who cannot use their own vehicle or a transit bus due to a temporary or permanent disability that impairs mobility.
