About me

I have worked in a variety of roles within the Libraries since 2008, all focused on serving and supporting our many users and their needs. In my current role I coordinate a team that oversees the main service desks in Carrier and Rose Libraries as well as the Ask the Library virtual service. I love seeing the varied research questions and topics that our community is interested in and am always happy to help connect people to the vast resources and expertise they need within the libraries.

Prior to working in the Libraries full-time I worked in the JMU Athletics department and with Major League Soccer in Philadelphia, PA. I still get my sports fix on the intramural fields here at JMU in my spare time!

Education:

  • B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management from James Madison University
  • M.S. in Sport Leadership from James Madison University

About Library and Information Services

We connect JMU’s diverse communities with the Libraries’ resources through a holistic approach to front-line services. We staff the main service desks in Carrier and Rose Libraries and coordinate the Ask the Library service. We provide support for checking out materials, help people find library items and electronic resources in our collections, and work closely with other Libraries’ departments to seamlessly connect people with the resources and expertise they need.

About Academic Engagement

Academic Engagement is a new, public-facing division of the Libraries, under formation now. Departments include Library and Information Services, the Music Library, Research & Education Services, and Digital Scholarship and Distinctive Collections, which includes Digital Projects and Special Collections.
