Canvas Portfolio: A New Tool in Canvas

Canvas has launched a new tool, Canvas Portfolio, which will replace the current ePortfolio tool. This upgrade offers new capabilities for students and faculty, including: 

• Collaboration: Allow learners to add teammates to showcase group work 

• Review Tools: Easier sharing and review with a Portfolio Preview feature 

• Progress Tracking: View learner progress for assigned portfolios 

• Outcome Alignment: Tag evidence to align learning with outcomes 

• Programmatic Assessment: Support for institution-assigned portfolios 

Required Action for Users of ePortfolio

If you currently use ePortfolio, please download the contents of your ePortfolio before June 30 to ensure your academic materials are preserved. After this date, the old tool will no longer be accessible and JMU Libraries will not be able to access or export the contents of your portfolio.
