“Carry On: Pandemic Diaries” Digital Project Developed by WRTC Professor With Help From JMU Libraries

Our lives have all been upended by the coronavirus today and the effects will be long-lasting. How are we creating a record of daily life for future researchers?

In March of 2020, professor Sarah O’Connor from JMU’s Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication program reached out to JMU Libraries in the hopes of setting up a project to collect observations about life during this time. The Carry On | Pandemic Diaries website is a result of that work. Anyone who is interested in contributing can go to the project website and request to be a diarist. Prof. O’Connor hopes to collect a diversity of experiences and points of view.
