The Road to Reopening: Countdown to Carrier

Carrier Library is still on track to reopen in time for Fall semester 2026! As the building exterior takes shape, we are preparing to welcome you back to a more modern, spacious, and user-friendly Carrier Library in August 2026.

So what’s the timeline? Major construction wraps up in December 2025, and then it’s time for the finishing touches — finalizing interiors, installing furniture, moving books, setting up staff offices, and plugging in all the new tech. It’s a big, coordinated effort with a lot of moving parts (literally), but it’s all designed to bring you a better library experience than ever before.
