Honoring Día de los Muertos in the Shenandoah Valley (Oct. 22 Event)

Faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to Crafting Local Commemorations: Performance as Commemoration and Día de los Muertos on Thursday, October 22, 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
Participants will build community, engage in dialogue, and experience artistic expression related to Día de los Muertos as an environment for justice and reconciliation. The event will also offer an opportunity to engage with a participatory art exhibit called “Hostile Terrain 94” and to experience performances by Lua Project (musicians) and Ariana Brown (poet).
