Faculty: Are You Using Open Textbooks?

If so, please fill out this survey to let us know! We’d love to hear about the open textbooks or open course materials you are using, even if your course also requires some textbooks that cost money. The survey is open until May 1, 2026.

Either way, you’re invited to apply for these funding opportunities:

• Apply by February 5, 2026 for Get Started Using Open Textbooks from JMU Libraries. This is an asynchronous online workshop with a $200 stipend.
• Apply by March 22, 2026 for the JMU Libraries Summer Stipend for Transitioning to OER – up to five (5) $2,000 stipends to instructors to develop a new syllabus using open and affordable course materials.
