Help the Community Seed Library Grow This Fall
Posted on: October 4, 2023
Do you have seeds left over from your garden planting this year? Consider donating them to JMU’s Community Seed Library!
Visit us in Rose Library! The free JMU Community Seed Library is now located on the first floor of Rose Library, right around the stairs from the main entrance. Visit the self-service seed cabinet any time the building is open to pick up seeds for free or leave a seed donation!
Harrisonburg downtown location: We have a second location at the Massanutten Regional Library in downtown Harrisonburg.
Seed donations: We accept home grown or store-bought heirloom or open-pollinated seeds and even partially used packets. (Check out our website for seed saving tips!) Envelopes for repackaging seeds are provided.
Parking: Campus visitors can get a free 1-day pass from JMU Parking Services.
Contact: To arrange a large seed donation, or if you have questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
