This Homecoming, JMU Libraries is co-hosting a book talk featuring JMU alumna Rachel McRady, an Emmy Award-winning writer, editor, and author of the acclaimed debut novel Sun Seekers.

All staff, students, faculty, alumni, and friends are invited to The Stories We Carry: An Evening with Author Rachel McRady (’11) on Thursday, October 15, at 5:30 p.m. in the East Campus Dining Hall for an evening centered on storytelling, resilience, and the experiences that shape us.

Enjoy light refreshments followed by a moderated conversation with McRady exploring her journey from JMU student to journalist and novelist. Inspired by her family’s experience with dementia, her novel is a moving story about love, loss, and hope that has resonated with readers nationwide.
