We’re thrilled to introduce our newest staff, faculty, and 2025-26 graduate assistants to the campus community!

Graduate Students
Get to know our 2025-26 Graduate Assistants:
- Cameron Courter is a Graduate Assistant in the Educational Technology Services department.
- Emma Ellenbecker, Employee Resources and Organizational Learning Graduate Assistant, is a May 2026 graduate with her Master’s in Public Administration and a concentration in human resources and is also a double duke!
- Keqin Gavin Ma is a Graduate Assistant in the Scholarly Communications Team.
- Aleena Raja is a Graduate Assistant in the Media Production and Makerspace Services Department.
- Joey Yizhou Sun is a Gradaute Assistant in the Digital Scholarship & Distinctive Collections Department.
Libraries Staff and Faculty
Get to know the folks who joined the Libraries (or started new faculty or staff positions) between April 2025 and April 2026:
- Amy Bach is excited to join the team as the Libraries Finance Specialist. She has been in various positions at JMU throughout the years. She loves house plants and succulents and would love to be your plant-buddy.
- Mattie Clear, Head of Research & Engagement for Digital Scholarship and Distinctive Collections (Assistant Professor), is excited to join JMU Libraries and to collaborate with the JMU community and beyond.
- Blaze Ennis joins us as Lead IT Analyst.
- Stephen Fincher, Director of Access & User Services (Assistant Professor), is new to Virginia as well as JMU and is excited to collaborate with other faculty, staff, and students.
- Hannah Frost joins us as a Night Supervisor for the Music Library.
- Katherine (Kate) Funk joins us as a Library Services Supervisor.
- Grant Gardner joins us as an Evening and Weekend Services Coordinator.
- Rose Holden joins us as a Library Services Supervisor.
- Katelyn Jenkins joins us as a Library Services Supervisor.
- Marija Krnetic joins us as a Night Supervisor.
- Caitlin MacKenzie Mannion, Director of Research & Education Services (Assistant Professor), comes to JMU after ten years of working abroad in Shanghai, China, where she helped establish a new academic library at a startup university. She is excited to be part of JMU Libraries in this time of renewal and transformation.
- Ethan Perdew, Media Specialist, is a recent college graduate who is excited to work with faculty and staff on media projects.
- Julian Perez, Library Services Supervisor, is a JMU senior graduating with their Bachelor of Arts in English this May. They are excited to continue working at the JMU libraries post-grad, and plan to pursue a degree in library science.
- Julia Scott, IT Analyst, is a JMU alum who previously worked at JMU’s IT Help Desk. She is excited to be joining Libraries and working with more of the JMU community.
- Annabel Thrush joins us as a Library Services Supervisor.
- Yuyao Yang joins us as a Night Supervisor for the Music Library.
