About me

Iscent is a first-year master’s student in Psychological Sciences and the Graduate Assistant for Outreach and Communications. In her role, she assists the Outreach & Communications team with tabling events, social media, and informing the JMU community on what the Libraries have to offer. In her free time, she enjoys reading contemporary fiction and memoirs and loves the outdoors.

About Communications & Outreach Department

We lead communications, marketing, media relations, branding, promotion, and strategic outreach on behalf of JMU Libraries. Our communications reach a variety of audiences, including current and prospective students, faculty, staff, donors, alumni, JMU parents and families, and the local community. We collaborate with JMU Marketing & Communications, the Office of Orientation and Transition, and the Office of Admissions, and Philanthropy & Engagement.

About Libraries Administration Unit

We support and challenge JMU Libraries’ staff and faculty to live up to our guiding statements — as we work together to provide excellent library and educational technology resources, spaces, services, and expertise to our campus community. Libraries’ Administration includes Communications and Outreach, Facilities Operations, Finance and Employee Resources, and the office of the Dean.
