Posted on: September 19, 2018

Yasmeen Shorish, Data Service Coordinator, and Liz Thompson, Instruction and Educational Resources Coordinator, received an $89,333 Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Grant. In collaboration with the Association of Research Libraries, they will convene a series of national forums to explore Open Access (OA) collection development and collective funding for OA content in libraries. The insights and interactions of forum participants will culminate in a white paper describing the challenges, opportunities, and potential for inspiring a culture of collective action and building an OA collection development system.

This project is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Visit the website https://sites.lib.jmu.edu/OA-forum/ for details about the grant and to register to participate in a national forum.
