Starting May 22, 2025, a new user interface will be introduced for Academic Search Complete and other databases from the same provider.
What is Academic Search Complete? Academic Search Complete is one of our most popular databases. It covers all disciplines taught at JMU and offers articles from over 8,500 magazines and scholarly journals. We also subscribe to numerous other databases from EBSCO, the company that provides Academic Search Complete. You can find all these databases by selecting the “Databases” button on the home page of the JMU Libraries website and choosing “EBSCO” from the “Vendors” drop-down menu.
What changes will I see? When you next use an EBSCOhost database, you may notice improvements to the layout of the results list and other screens. Additional features will include personalized dashboards and new options for citing and sharing articles.
Questions? To learn more, you can watch a short video from EBSCO or contact a liaison librarian.
