Get Books Delivered to a Campus Mailbox

Did you know that you can have library books delivered directly to your campus mailbox if you are JMU faculty, staff, or a doctoral student? This service includes books and other items from JMU Libraries or Interlibrary Loan (ILL)!

Just enter your work address to your account in MyMadison. Then when you request items from the Libraries website, you can select Work Address as your Pickup Location. For instructions on getting Interlibrary Loan (ILL) items delivered, visit our ILL Departmental Delivery page.

No Campus Mailbox? Try Our Pickup Service!

We also deliver books and other items to any Libraries service desk so you don’t need to drive across campus or spend time looking for them in the stacks. Just request your items online and bring your JACard to the pickup location you requested. For Interlibrary Loan, you can change your preferred delivery location in your account settings.

Pro tip: if you don’t have a parking pass, or if you want the closest parking, get your items delivered to JMU Libraries Express! That location has four 15-minute parking spots that don’t require a parking permit.

Get Scanned Articles and Chapters Delivered to Your Inbox

If you thought you needed to be on campus to access physical items in the JMU Libraries collection, we have good news! You can request scanned/digital copies of articles and book chapters to sent to you via email!

How do I request items to be scanned? Just log in to your Interlibrary Loan account. On the left, under New Request, select Journal/Article or Book Chapter to submit your request. Most requests are processed within 24-48 hours, but please note that this service is not staffed during weekends or when the University is closed. This Scan & Deliver service is provided at no charge.
