Zoom now includes personal pronouns

Posted August 16, 2021 in Educational Technology News, JMU Libraries News

Thanks to quick work by JMU IT, everyone who uses Zoom at JMU can now add their pronouns to their Zoom profile. Using a person’s correct pronouns and proactively sharing yours are two ways to show respect and promote an inclusive environment. Learn more about using pronouns in this guide for faculty from JMU’s SOGIE or this article from MyPronouns.org about personal pronouns and why they matter

If you follow these instructions from Zoom, you will be able to add your pronouns into an empty text box and decide when to automatically share them in Zoom.
