Classroom Technology Services

For immediate classroom assistance, call (540) 568-6799, 7 am – 5 pm, Monday-Friday. It is our goal to provide a technician to your classroom in less than 10 minutes.  Don’t cancel class, we can typically have the problem solved in 10 minutes or less. Please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Your name and user ID
  • The building and room number where the problem is occurring
  • A description of the problem
  • Are you currently in class?
  • Would you like a technician immediately or after your class is finished?
  • A phone number if necessary

Keys for Classrooms

The JMU Lockshop now distributes the Technology Classroom keys. Contact your building coordinator to request a work order for you to get your Technology Classroom key.

Clickers for Faculty

Turning Technology Clickers can be used in your classroom to poll your students and actively engage them in the material you are teaching. Clickers are small, handheld devices that allow students to respond to questions asked verbally, on paper or on screen and enables you to instantly assess a summary of their responses. Use the following to begin using clickers.

JMU Libraries’ Omeka installations provide virtual space for the curation of digital object collections and exhibits related to the mission of JMU that have the potential for lasting value to scholarly communities.


LET’s CampusPress service provides space for faculty and staff to create academic sites related to JMU’s mission. LET offers consultation support for WordPress sites with instructional purposes.
