All equipment must be picked up and returned to the Ask The Library desk at Carrier Library only.
All reservations for equipment should be made at least 3 days in advance. Please plan accordingly. Please complete the online reservation request form for equipment requests. Email email@example.com with questions.
The standard loan period for all eligible borrowers is 4 days. Longer loan periods can be arranged with administrative staff by phone, in person, or by the online reservation request form.
Faculty or staff may send students or another person to pick up equipment reservations; however, the borrower must give the designee a signed note authorizing JMU Libraries to release the reservation. If the designee does not have a signed note, JMU Libraries will not release the equipment. The designee should also have his or her JAC card for identification.
Overdue fines for student borrowers are $5.00 per day for each equipment item checked out separately (doctoral students excluded).
The borrower is responsible for returning all equipment in good working order. There is a $5.00 fee for each missing or damaged item (e.g. USB cables). Some parts and accessories may also incur an actual cost replacement fee.
Equipment is available for JMU academic use only. If you need equipment for other purposes, please contact the events office or a local rental source.
