Important Interlibrary Loan (ILL) updates

Libraries around the world are no longer shipping books to each other due to COVID-19, so JMU Libraries’ ILL service is not able to request books or other physical materials for you from other libraries until further notice.

While ILL staff are working remotely, we are able to process requests for articles and book chapters from other institutions. We will attempt to obtain these sources in digital/electronic format. However, please note that fulfillment may be slower or not possible at this time. We appreciate your understanding.

ILL overdue notices were suspended when JMU courses moved online. We will deal with overdue items in collaboration with our ILL colleagues at a later date. If you have the ability to return ILL items before you leave campus, feel free to place those in any of the JMU Libraries’ book drops on campus.

At this time we have suspended the Scan & Deliver service for items held in the JMU Libraries’ collections.
