Media Literacy Week

Posted on: November 6, 2017

Feeling overwhelmed by a constant of flood of information from tons of media sources? You’re not alone. November 6–10 is U.S. Media Literacy Week, and our new display in Carrier highlights media literacy resources for the whole month.

Media Literacy provides a framework to access, analyze, evaluate, and create messages in a variety of forms—from print to video to the internet. Resources in the display address many aspects of media literacy, including: social media and the news, gender and racial media representation, interactive journalism, and digital citizenship.
