Communications & Marketing Coordinator
As the resident storyteller for JMU Libraries, I work closely with the rest of the Communications & Outreach team to make sure people hear about the good things that are happening here. I help the team with writing and editing stories, all-campus emails, social media posts, and content for the website. I also create graphics, manage branding standards for JMU Libraries, and sit on committees of communications professionals at the university level and in Academic Affairs so that we can collaborate more effectively with other offices in our communications.
About Communications & Outreach
The people in the Communications and Outreach department lead, coordinate, and support communications, marketing, and outreach efforts that promote the JMU Libraries and empower our diverse communities to engage with the Libraries. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) social media outreach, displays, exhibits, event promotion, programs, graphic design, writing, and editing. This department manages the Libraries’ organizational relationships with University Communications and Marketing, the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of Admissions, and selected other non-academic units.
